Republican presidential contender Carly Fiorina guest starred in "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" last Monday night and she openly expressed how she's fine with having a Muslim president.

The statement from the former Hewlett-Packard CEO was made in response to rival Ben Carson, who believes a Muslim shouldn't be a president, according to his interview with Meet the Press last Sunday.

Carson added that the religion Islam is not consistent with American values and principles.

Fiorina aired her side and told Fallon on his show that she thinks it's wrong. "You know, it says in our Constitution that religion cannot be a test for office," Fiorina said.

With her statements, the presidential candidate earned the applause from the audience.

Fiorina continued by saying that people who have faith, whatever their religion may be, tend to be "better leaders."

She even shared on the show about her Christian faith and how she depended on it during the most difficult times in her life.

Fiorina was open about how she had lost a child and how she fought cancer; she believes she's been tested.

"But whether it's a person of Christian faith or Jewish faith or Muslim faith, or other faiths, I think faith gives us humility and empathy and optimism and I think those are important things," she said.

The GOP presidential contender also mentioned about Pope Francis' visit to the country and she stated that although she doesn't agree with all of the pope's politics, she still admires him for being able to "break down the bureaucracy of the church in a lot of ways and go back to serving the poor and helping people."

On a lighter note, it wasn't just all politics that was discussed on Fallon's "The Tonight Show." Fiorina also showed off her singing abilities since the TV host brought up that she sings to her grandkids sometimes with a bunch of made up songs.
