The Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians will clash on Wednesday night in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. After six games there is nothing separating these teams and it all comes down to one final game to see who will make history and claim the World Series for the first time in decades.

The game has a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. ET and takes place from Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The game can be watched on TV on the Fox network or online through live stream via the link below.

Both teams are desperate to win this Game 7 and claim the World Series. These franchises have not won a World Series title for a combined total of an amazing 176 years, but that drought will only come to an end for one of them tonight.

The Cubs will be sending Kyle Hendricks to the mound for the winner takes all clash as their starting pitcher. He is the 2016 ERA leader in the MLB, and has been immense for them in the Playoffs already, recording an ERA of 1.31 so far. He also has not allowed a single run in either of his last two starts. He is in great form, and there is no one else Chicago would want to send out as their starter for this historic game.

Opposite him today for the Indians will be Corey Kluber as the Cleveland starting pitcher. He has already won Games 1 and 4, but will be thrown back out there for a third start in this series despite being on short rest. Let's be honest, there's nothing left to hold back for anything else now, and both teams will simply leave everything out there on the field for this decisive encounter.

The Cubs have managed to fight back from 1-3 down to level the series at 3-3, thanks to their amazing 9-3 victory in Game 6 last night. They will feel the momentum is with them, but can they keep things going for one more final win? The Indians would have felt the same way when they moved from 1-1 in the series to take a 3-1 lead in Chicago. However, things keep moving back and forth in this series, and it's anyone's guess who will take this Game 7.

The Cubs have not reached the World Series since 1945, and have not won it for over a century - an agonizing 108 year wait. The Indians meanwhile were in the World Series in 1997, but have not won it since 1948. In both of their last appearances in the World Series things went to a Game 7. However, of course they were so long ago it's not like any of the current rosters will remember anything about those games.

But one thing's for sure, even though every World Series game is high pressured, Game 7's ramp things up to unbearable levels - for players and fans alike - and it is unclear how both teams will stand up to the pressure and anxiety here.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon has said ahead of the game: "It's been a very well-contested Series. Both sides have played really good baseball. [There's] been outstanding pitching. ... All of a sudden, our offense is having a resurgence, which we need. Of course we want to be the group that breaks the string, but it's just correct and apt that we'd go seven games."
