The small screen will be busy this week with a number of season premieres in the line-up, including a controversial pilot episode from "South Park" and an explosive season three opener from "Chicago Fire."

First, Comedy Central released a teaser for the highly-talked about pilot episode of "South Park" season 18. The one-minute video features the animated versions of Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, head coach Jay Gruden, and quarterback Robert Griffin III as they confront Eric Cartman for using the team's name for his undisclosed business.

Just recently, the Redskins encountered a name controversy, as several minority groups complained about the insensitivity of the moniker about the Native American people. The decision of a US patent office backed the claims of the minorities, saying that the Redskins name is "disparaging to Native Americans."

This is not the first time that "South Park" chose to dip in a major controversy. In 2010, an episode decided to tackle the controversy regarding the depiction of Mohammad, offending a lot of people which resulted in getting the series forbidden in Sri Lanka.

The pilot episode of "South Park" season 18 will be aired on Wednesday, Sept. 24, on Comedy Central.

But before the animation's controversial premiere, CBS will present a fiery pilot for "Chicago Fire" season 3.

The season premiere entitled "Always" will jump more than a month after the season 2 finale. Its synopsis reads, "Boden pulls his team together in the aftermath of the explosion; Casey works to track down Severide."

Executive producer Matt Olmstead shared several juicy tidbits about the firefighter drama with TVLine. One of them is in a form of an advice, saying: "Sometimes, you might accelerate the process of getting married or the thing that you put off your whole life that you want to do, because it's just a very sharp reminder that nothing's guaranteed."

He also said that the pilot episode will also reveal who died during the explosion that happened last season.

"Chicago Fire" season 3 episode 1 will be aired on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
