A new documentary about the notorious rapper Chris Brown titled "Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life" was released just recently on Netflix. The hip-hop entertainer hopes that his famous ex-girlfriend Rihanna will watch and support it.

The documentary was released earlier this month and chronicles Chris Brown's life from his humble beginnings as a singer and dancer to the infamous incident when he assaulted Rihanna, who was his girlfriend back then. This happened the night before the Grammy Awards back in 2009. Coincidentally, a source close to Brown said that the rapper hopes that his ex-girlfriend Rihanna would watch his documentary, even though it may seemingly be traumatizing for the famous rhythm and blues singer.

"Now that Chris [Brown]'s documentary is more readily available for the world on Netflix, he hopes the most special person in the world to him gets to see the film, and that is Rihanna," the source expressed. Brown said in the documentary that he beat Rihanna and saw blood and spit coming out of her mouth. It would be hard to imagine how Rihanna could watch and relive this devastating chapter in her life.

Nevertheless, the source further explained, "Chris is pretty sure that Rihanna has not seen the film yet, and he hopes that once she watches it, she will better understand how much he has grown, changed and matured since their relationship."

In related news, actress Stacy Francis stated that Rihanna should be the one to apologize to Brown for the 2009 incident. Francis claimed that the "Umbrella" singer was the one who punched and kicked Brown first in a fit of jealousy. Brown merely retaliated and hit her back after receiving a number of blows. According to Francis, the media left out the part that Rihanna hit Brown first. Rihanna has yet to comment on the matter.
