Church Army cements relationship with Christian Enquiry Agency

Church Army's National Officer for Fresh Expressions, Peter Graystone, is to develop the www.christianity.org.uk website together with the Christian Enquiry Agency.

His secondment comes after Church Army announced "a major strategic and managerial" partnership with the CEA last September.

Well known in Christian and publishing communities for his creativity, writing skills and ability to communicate the Gospel in relevant ways, Mr Graystone is an ideal choice for the post. His most recent book is called "Be Happy - a 40 day journey to contentment".

Mr Graystone said: "Someone wrote to the Christian Enquiry Agency recently thanking them for playing ‘a major part in me becoming a Christian - thank you for … providing information and inspiration in times of need and hopelessness'.

"It is going to be a privilege to work with a terrific organisation that enables people to wake up to the vast love that God has for them. I hope I can re-imagine CEA so that even more people can find even more help.

"My prayer is that men and women will be glad to be alive as a result what is beginning this month."

The CEA website operates on behalf of all the major churches and mission agencies as a central point of contact for people to explore Christian faith. The CEA Council and trustees will continue to lead the agency and have expressed their desire to ensure its broad denominational basis is "protected and maintained".

Church Army will also work with the Enquiry Office team at Deo Gloria Trust in South Croydon to increase the response mechanisms in line with the ongoing developments.
