The free-to-play online strategy mobile video game, "Clash of Clans," is set to receive a huge update anytime this month. According to reports, the new update should be bringing with it some significant changes that will once again attract players to the mobile title.

As of the moment, Supercell's game is losing its players to some of the newer mobile games that have been recently released. The company; however, may not be giving up without a fight, as its new update could be the solution that will once again bring their game to the top of the mobile games' list.

Several rumors have revealed that Supercell's latest updates will be bringing with it significant changes to how the game will be played. It was revealed that the game may be more friendly towards newer players. The "Clash of Clans" update could also allegedly be adding additional freebies for existing players.

There are also reports of a new mode that may be added to the game along with the three other game modes that are already included. The rumored mode has been referred to by some fans as "arranged wars" where clans will be able to arrange friendly matches with other clans. This mode will allow clan members to battle their sister clans without penalty to practice for any future clan wars they may be fighting.

Some rumors have also claimed that a reward system might also be implemented which will allegedly allow players to earn extra gems. As it stands, earning gems without forking out actual money is quite difficult in the game. This makes the inclusion of an additional feature to acquire gems very welcome by the majority of the game's players.

Other changes that are expected comes in the form of changes to the game's Town Halls. New characters, spells, and attacks are also expected, which should mix things up a bit in order to make the game's experience quite different this time around.

The big September update is expected to roll out over the weekend, specifically on Sept 18. However, Supercell has not yet confirmed this, and it still remains to be seen if players will be getting the update this Sunday.
