New details about the next "Clash of Clans" have come to light recently, and they are hinting at the possibility of a new troop being added to the game.

Recently, a fan commented on a post by the game's official Facebook account, indicating that he would like to see "Clash Royale's" musketeer being made part of a new "Clash of Clans" troop.

In response, the game's official Facebook account revealed that while developers will not be adding "Clash Royale's" musketeer, fans can still look forward to a new troop being introduced.

Rumors currently suggest that instead of a troop based on "Clash Royale's" musketeer, the next update will instead feature a dark elixir-based group. Rumors also suggest that the new troop that will be added to the game will only be available upon unlocking Town Hall 10.

A little further down the comments thread, fans can also see the game's official Facebook account quashing rumors suggesting that "Clash of Clans" itself will be closed down soon. Aside from disputing the rumor, the official account also mentioned that they are already working on the game's next update.

While the comments section of a Facebook post is not the most widely used outlet for announcing new game features, the reveals still appear to be legitimate.

Unsurprisingly, there's not much else that players can learn from the brief exchanges on Facebook, and those looking for more details about a new troop and the entire update will have to stay tuned in the weeks ahead.

Even though no official release date for the next update has thus far been announced, iDigital Times suggests that fans can look forward to the upcoming content drop arriving sometime before April.

More news about "Clash of Clans" and the contents of its next update will likely be made available in the coming weeks.
