Cleveland Cavaliers news 2015: How fit are Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving for training camp?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have started some pretraining camp activities in Miami already, but the real grind will start this coming Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Most of the players except maybe Tristan Thompson will be around, including the ones who rode the bench on account of injury. That list is, of course, headlined by Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, who both fell one after the other when the NBA playoffs commenced.

Other players who were injured but seem to be good to go are Timofey Mozgov and Anderson Varejao.

With all players present, it should be interesting to see up to what capacity Irving and Love will take part in the training considering the Cavs want to break them in softly.

Love did mention that he feels great but the thing is, the Cavs are not taking any chances of rushing him back into action.

The same case holds true for Irving who, per rumors, will likely return to full active duty by January 2016.

With that said, it won't be surprising to find both players limited to noncontact drills. Such could include shooting and maybe some conditioning that would entirely depend on the overall state of the two.

Love is coming back from a shoulder injury while Irving is returning from a busted knee cap surgery. Both were at the USA Basketball camp in Las Vegas but, as everyone knows, hardly participated since it was their attendance which was more important to determine how committed they were to being part of Team USA.

The only fact right now is that both will be around at camp as the Cavs try to prepare themselves for another possible run at the NBA title. With an intact lineup with few tweaks, the Cavs are favorites in the Eastern Conference.

Included in their preparations is managing the playing time of their players. Love and Irving are likely to be doing little in training camp, pretty much the same way thing they had with Team USA in Las Vegas.
