Last time out, we had reported here that CM Punk was trying to audition for a slot in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 where he will most likely be cast as one of Shredder's henchmen, Beebop or Rocksteady.

Punk, or Phil Brooks in real life is no doubt fit for the role though he would have been perfect to portray Casey Jones. Despite some physical similarities, Stephen Amell (The Arrow) beat him for the part.

So what is the latest update on Punk's much publicized UFC debut?

Well, we all know that Punk made that bold move of getting inside the octagon, following the footsteps of other WWE wrestlers like Brock Lesnar who made it successfully.

And the latest update on Punk's preparations come from head coach Duke Roufos who bared through Twitter that Punk has had his second MMA scrimmage last May 1st.

Punk, a former WWE champion who left the company due to differences, will take his expertise in a more brutal battleground. Critics are divided on how Punk could fare despite being a mixed martial arts practitioner.

While Punk has been reportedly exerting his best efforts leading to his UFC debut, something termed as bridging the gap by UFC's Tyron Woodley.

Punk has been out of competitive action for some time now and hopefully his private lessons (said to be 12 to 14 a week) can help get him in proper shape before he makes his official UFC debut.

On hand during Punk's second scrimmage was his wife AJ Lee. Lee, a former WWE Divas champion who recently retired from the WWE was joined by Rancid vocalist/guitarist Lars Frederiksen in the Twitter post made by Roufus.

For now, there is no official word on when Punk will appear in his first UFC debut. Regardless of when that would be, Woodley has pledged to help him out in any way he can.
