Conor McGregor makes UFC history by being the very first fighter to hold a championship belt for two weight divisions. This milestone sure makes him an undisputed legend in the UFC arena.
McGregor was pitted against Eddie Alvarez during the main event at Madison Square Garden last Nov. 12, 2016. The fight didn't look like a battle but more like a slaughter as some spectators commented. The two fighters looked mismatched, with "The Notorious" having the clear advantage over Alvarez.
McGregor was able to bring Alvarez to the ground three times during the first round. Finally, he astounded Alvarez with his seemingly insurmountable power by delivering a technical knockout, netting him the second title under his belt with ease.

McGregor's interview after his clean victory was something his crowd expected of him as he showed everyone how colorful his personality was. He simply said, "along the way I've ridiculed the entire locker room, and I'd like to take this time to apologize...to absolutely no one." He also went on to say that he will do whatever he wants.
Conor McGregor made it to the top 100 list of Forbes' highest-paid athletes for 2016, with his net worth being pegged at around $22 million. This figure was based on his fights in the Octagon up until UFC 196, as well as endorsements for Electronic Arts, Rolls Royce, Bud Light, BSN, Monster Energy, Fanatics, and Reebok.
His more recent fights added to his net worth, with $3 million being added after he avenged his defeat against Nate Diaz in UFC 202, according to a report by MMA Fighting.
