"Criminal Minds" introduced a new character in season 11 but altogether, the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) is still missing one of its core members, JJ (A.J. Cook).

Fans know that Cook is on maternity leave and she is not really absent from the show as she was seen briefly in the season's first episode tending to her baby, played by her son in real life, Phoenix Andersen.

Also, despite being credited in the opening, fans still miss the blonde supervisory special agent, but that won't be for long because as promised, she'll be returning to the show on the upcoming episode 7 titled "Target Rich," which will airing on Wednesday.

In this particular episode, the BAU welcome's JJ's return and it is expected that Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) would be the most excited person to see her.

While there are happy moments with the team being complete, the BAU continues to solve cases and the next one will be about a college student who disappeared.

JJ won't be the only person whom fans will get to see again in the show. David Rossi's (Joe Mantegna) daughter, Joy (Amber West Stevens), will also return to guest star in the episode.

Joy, who is also a journalist, will be getting some help from her father and the rest of the team to investigate the disappearance.

On the other hand, Giuseppe Montolo (Robert Neary), the hitman fans saw during the first episode of season 11, will die while in prison after warning Morgan (Shemar Moore) about the group, "The Dirty Dozen."

How this story unfolds remains to be seen, but episode 8 titled "Awake" is expected to bring more light to the Dirty Dozen arc.

As stated in a synopsis from a "Criminal Minds" spoilers site, the team will head to Phoenix to pursue and unsub, whose modus operandi is to kidnap victims and keep them awake, while Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Garcia will work on the Dirty Dozen case.

But in the meantime, fans can wait for the next episode to finally see JJ on screen again. "Criminal Minds" airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
