The Dallas Cowboys may have their star wide receiver Dez Bryant back as he is expected to play in their Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to a report by Fox Sports.

Bryant suffered a foot injury in the first game of Dallas' 2015 season against the New York Giants last September 13.

The day after, he went through surgery which made him miss action in their past five games, with the team currently riding a four-game losing streak.

But earlier this week, Bryant already returned to practice and was participating in 11-on-11 drills, according to ESPN.

Still, the 26-year-old receiver has a questionable status against Seattle but expressed his desire of playing only if he was to make that decision.

"If I play, I'm not thinking about nothing. I'm playing. Dez is Dez out there. If I'm thinking, I'll remove myself from the situation. So we're going to just see," Bryant also said.

In the past three seasons, Bryant has not missed a regular season game for the Cowboys and last season played one of his best years in the National Football League (NFL) having 88 receptions for 1,320 yards and a career-best 16 touchdowns.

That is what the struggling Cowboys are missing this season along with the absence of franchise quarterback Tony Romo who suffered a collarbone injury in Week 2.

If Bryant returns against the Seahawks, he will be working with current starting quarterback Matt Cassel.

Cassel replaced quarterback Brandon Weeden, who first started in place of Romo but failed to bring success to the Cowboys.

Even Cassel have struggled in his first start last Sunday in their 27–25 defeat to the Giants, completing 17-of-27 passes for 227 yards, one touchdown, and a notable three interceptions.

The return of Bryant will be big for the Cowboys whose playoff hopes this season are dwindling because of all the setbacks they have experienced.
