The Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins will clash on Sunday in Week 11 of the NFL 2015 regular season, and this is a game neither side dares to lose if they want to remain relevant to the postseason. The Dolphins threw themselves a lifeline last week by overcoming the Philadelphia Eagles on the road in a super tight contest. The game was won in the final quarter with the Dolphins coming out on top by a single point in the 20-19 victory.

However, for the Cowboys it was pain as usual as they dropped to a seventh straight defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game was not pretty on the eyes with only 16 points scored in the entire game, but ultimately the 10-6 loss was another nail in the coffin for the Cowboys' season.

Coming into this week both the Cowboys and Dolphins are bottom of the NFC East and AFC East respectively. However, the Dolphins' win last week has given them hope, and at 4-5 they are just off the pace with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets both on 5-4. The New England Patriots are way out top on 9-0.

For the Cowboys, 2-7 leaves them far adrift of anyone else at the foot of the NFC East. All three other teams are fighting it out for the top spot, with the New York Giants first on just 5-5, and the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles tied for second on 4-5. It is highly unlikely that with seven losses already this season that the Cowboys can comeback, but if they can string together two or three wins now they could get back into contention in a poor NFC East. But as yet, the Cowboys have shown no such signs of claiming a win let alone pulling off a string of wins in a row.

Earlier this week in the NFL the Tennessee Titans took on the Jacksonville Jaguars on NFL Thursday Night Football. A tight game that went back and forth ended with the Jaguars claiming an important 19-13 victory over their rivals.

The climax of the game came when Rashad Greene returned a 63 yard punt to set the stage for Blake Bortles 5 yard touchdown pass to Julius Thomas with just 3:30 remaining on the clock.

That result means that the Jaguars managed to win two straight games for the first time in more than two years, and allows them to gain some traction in a mixed up AFC South division. The second win in a row moves them to 4-6, and only just marginally behind the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans, who are both on 4-5 coming into Week 11.

The loss for the Tennessee Titans leaves them in the basement of the AFC South on 2-8, and now in desperate need of a string of wins to get them back into contention. However, most see them as irrelevant now, especially considering that they've lost eight of their last nine games.

It will be a tough loss for the Titans as they had looked like they would snatch the win for large portions of the game, but they could not hang on and when Greene stormed away down the near sideline before finally getting brought down at the 5, Bortles and Thomas took care of the rest to get the Jaguars' noses in front 16-13 and they never looked back.
