The Dallas Cowboys will play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Week 2 of the NFL 2015 preseason. Both teams have high expectations for the coming season and many preparations are being put in place right now so their rosters can hit the ground running when the new season starts in a few weeks. Like any Week 2 preseason match up, there is only so much we will be able to learn from today's game.

Many of the starters from both rosters will likely feature for just a quarter or so, and there will be a lot of experimentation still going on.

However, with Week 1 out of the way, both teams will certainly be looking to ramp things up a notch or two more today, and we can start to expect a few more things to be finalized by teams though today's game.

Week 2 games are often just another stepping stone towards the full blown preparations for teams coming next week and beyond, and for that reason it isn't entirely clear which starters will feature today and for exactly how long they will be on the field.

Priorities for both teams will be for first and second string players to stay healthy at all costs, although they will certainly be looking to build on things from Week 1 performances.

Dallas will be looking for some of their new players to continue their good progress gelling with the other players. First-round pick Byron Jones, second-rounder Randy Gregory and undrafted free agent La'el Collins all did well in their first run out for the Cowboys and that will give hope that the team will have more strength and depth in their roster for the coming season.
