A division rivalry will resume for National Football League's (NFL) Monday Night Football as the Washington Redskins host the Dallas Cowboys at FedExField for Week 13 action.

Despite their 5–6 record, the Redskins are currently the leaders of the National Football Conference (NFC) East, with their record same with the second best team in the division, the New York Giants.

The Redskins will be heading to their game Monday coming off a 20–14 win over the Giants last Sunday (Week 12), which was their second win against the Giants this 2015 season.

Washington scored two touchdowns in the victory and emerging in the success was quarterback Kirk Cousins who was involved in both plays.

For the Redskins' first touchdown, Cousins connected with wide receiver DeSean Jackson for a 63-yard score in the second quarter.

As the clock was winding down in the quarter, Cousins rushed for a one-yard touchdown which gave the Redskins a 17–0 lead heading to the second half.

The Giants tried to rally in the fourth quarter and scored two touchdowns, but it was not enough as Washington held on for the victory.

If the Redskins are bringing a win as they enter Monday's game, the Cowboys (3–8) are back to losing as they fell to the Carolina Panthers last Nov. 26 (Week 12), 33–14.

Along with the defeat, Dallas again lost franchise quarterback Tony Romo who reinjured his collarbone.

The game against the Panthers was just Romo's second after returning from his first collarbone injury suffered in Week 2 which made him miss seven games.

Now that the 35-year-old quarterback is again sidelined following the injury, quarterback Matt Cassel is expected to take over the starting duties in their matchup.

Monday's game between the Redskins and Cowboys will be aired on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. EST.
