Fans of Lifetime's reality television series "Dance Mom" are still waiting for an announcement if the show will be renewed or canceled. Viewers of the show are also wondering if Abby Lee Miller will return.

Season 7 of the series ended on Oct. 24 and generated .31 million viewers according to Show Buzz Daily. After the finale episode of season 7, Lifetime has not released any information if they ordered a new season or not. Last September, International Business Times retracted an article it published indicating that the series was canceled.

In November, "Dance Moms" star Chloe Lukasiak stated that the show is indeed coming back through a live feed on Instagram. In the video, Lukasiak mentions that the show will return but only with the newest members of Abby Lee Dance Company.

It is also uncertain if Miller will return as the chief choreographer of the dancers and star of the show. Miller is still serving her one-year prison sentence at the FCI Victorville prison in California. The talented choreographer began her time behind bars in July and will be released in July 2018. If Miller will indeed return to the show, that means production will commence in the middle of 2018 after her release.

Miller was not able to see season 7 through after the fraud case handed out against her. The show did release an episode to honor Miller's contribution to the show throughout the years. Miller was then replaced by professional dancer Cheryl Burke.

Fans are still waiting for official updates from Lifetime if the show will come back. Based on score ratings from critics, the show is not doing well so far. The show got a 4.6 out of 10 score from IMDb and 2.4 out of 5 from Common Sense Media.

There are no reports if the low score ratings of the show reflect Miller's exit.
