When it comes to the gaming universe, challenges are always welcome. And "Dark Souls 3" is all set to take things to another level with the imminent release of not one, but two new DLC packs. The game's designer and director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, gave gaming enthusiasts some great news without revealing too much.

In an interview with Kotaku, Miyazaki was asked whether he could offer any tease to keep players of "Dark Souls 3" on their toes. In response, the president of FromSoftware stated, "The only thing I can say now is that we're planning two DLCs for Dark Souls 3."

The creative head went on to reveal that the first of these packs would be available in the fall of this year, and the second one will follow early next year.

MNR Daily gives further information regarding the stage that has been set for the game in the DLC packs. The first of the two DLC releases will naturally build on the existing content. But there are several new things in the making. This time around, there's going to be a new story, new villains to battle it out with, and above all, a change in location that is guaranteed to offer a different, and better, feel to the players.

In the midst of all this excitement, there was some dampening news when rumours hinted at a change of plans. Apparently, FromSoftware had decided to shelve or do away with additional DLC packs for "Dark Souls 3" and instead focus on "Dark Souls 4." But it turns out that Miyazaki and the entire team are pretty enthusiastic about making the two promised DLC packages a reality, as Game & Guide points out. Considering what a smashing hit the original game was, it's no wonder that the DLC release is garnering this kind of excitement and support.
