Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Steam migration release delayed.Bandai

Players will have more time to "prepare to die" as Bandai Namco needs more time to migrate the "Dark Souls: Prepare to Die" edition from Games for Windows Live to Steam. The game is now set for release next month.

Last month, Bandai Namco announced that players can move their copies of "Dark Souls: Prepare to Die" edition from Games for Windows Live to Steam with all their saved achievements and progress without a fee. Players will have to redeem their GFWL tokens on Steam in order to access the game. According to the post in "Dark Souls" Steam's community page, the game's migration will be finalized in December and not this month as originally planned.

"We are working hard to finalize the process to move your Dark Souls: Prepare to Die saves and achievements to Steam. We need to conduct additional testing and we are now targeting December to begin this process. We'll have more information in the coming weeks. Thank you very much for your patience!" Bandai Namco said.

The "Dark Souls: Prepare to Die" edition was first released in August 2012 in PC that features additional content for the first version of "Dark Souls."

Meanwhile, "Dark Souls II" along with the "Scholar of the First Sin" compilation and all of the DLCs (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King) as well as the new content will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and DirectX 11 PCs on April 7, 2015.

"Dark Souls II" for PS4 and Xbox One will include new content along with expanded storyline, better graphics, in-game events, new NPC characters and villains. The version arriving to new game consoles will also have an increased number of online players.

"Dark Souls II" is a role-playing video game and the third installment of the series. The series was praised by critics and gamers because of its deep storyline with reference to mythology, its difficulty, and its depth.
