As revealed on the official PlayStation blog, "Darkest Dungeon" will be released for both the PS Vita and the PlayStation 4 this coming September. The two versions of the game will come with all of the new additions that have since been added to the PC original such as Town Events and new classes.

The report reveals that the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game will have an improved Stagecoach which includes a total of 15 character classes. Over 40 Town Events have been added to the game and this includes the chance to encounter Vvulf and his band of raiders who aim to conquer and destroy the town of Hamlet.

IGN also confirms that it will support cross-buy, meaning players who purchase the game for PS4 will be able to play it on PS Vita without having to buy the game twice and vice versa. Save files will also be compatible for both platforms, allowing players to easily switch from the PS Vita and console at any time.

"Darkest Dungeon" will come at a $24.99.

The game released for the PC earlier this year and features a unique system that blends the random generated content and permanent death elements of a roguelike with psychological character management and traditional RPG systems.

Players can recruit several heroes at the same time but only bring a few when delving into the dungeons underneath the game's main setting, an ancestral home. With each affliction or exposure to the monsters in the darkness, characters in the party can suffer from mental stress and depression.

The game has since earned critical acclaim and high scores across the board. IGN, one of the most popular video game and entertainment websites, rewarded the game with a high score of 9.1 out of 10.

"Darkest Dungeon" will launch for the PS4 and PS Vita simultaneously on Sept. 27.
