Dell XPS 15 release date, specs news: New and refreshed laptop debuting in October?

A new and refreshed laptop could be out by next month courtesy of Dell. Rumors have it that the company is finally ready to offer a refreshed laptop, which packs quite a punch and is pretty much lightweight to carry around.

Dell provided consumer electronics buffs a glimpse of the refreshed and powerful laptop at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 last June, something that boasts of a 4K-touch enabled InfinityEdge display, which somehow takes its cue from the Dell XPS 13.

The 15-inch version should be something that promises to offer gamers a cheeky mobile alternative, more so because it does make use of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics chipset to back up that awesome 3840 x 2160 display resolution.

Pricing remains under wraps, although there is a chance that this one won't go cheap. If that should be the case, Dell could probably come out with a cheaper model but, of course, with lower specs — something like scaling down the screen resolution to 1920 x 1080 perhaps.

Well, depending on graphical requirement rants, that should pretty much be sane enough to adapt for whatever purpose the coming Ultrabook will have to offer.

Aside from all the hype surrounding the display of the Dell XP 15, the sexy part is apparent from the overall mold. It features a finely textured palm rest and an ultra responsive trackpad that is a combination of glass and buttons.

So what exactly comprises its power from the inside? There is no word yet on that aspect, so it may perhaps be safe to use the previous specs that the first Dell XPS 15 had. Such include coming armed with a 2.3 GHz Core i7-4712 Intel 4th generation Haswell quad-core 28 watt processor supported by 2 GB of DDR5 RAM.

Storage could be a variable but seeing that the specs were designed for high graphic games, it could require a huge HDD to suffice.

More on that may probably come out by Oct. 15, which is just a couple of weeks away.
