"Destiny" players who enjoy gunning down their enemies with blasts from their high-powered shotguns will likely be disappointed when the next patch for the game arrives.

According to Gamespot, the next update coming to the game will have a drastic effect on the shotguns players love to use.

Update 2.0.1 will be taking away what is known as the Shot Package perk. This perk allows the shotguns inside "Destiny" to be more powerful. With the Shot Package perk, players could knock off foes in a single shot, but that will most likely not be the case moving forward.

In the place of the Shot Package perk, Bungie, the game's developer, will be adding something else that should still be useful to players, although probably not as powerful as the Shot Package perk.

Bungie has indicated that they will work to put the Shot Package perk back into the game in the future, although it will be balanced out even further.

Bungie's latest decision to remove the Shot Package perk comes at the heels of the game's developer already nerfing the shotguns not too long ago. In update 2.0 released for "Destiny," Bungie reduced the damage and range capabilities of shotguns making them less lethal, according to Eurogamer.

In related news, Bungie has just recently announced that microtransactions will be coming to the game.

For now, the microtransactions coming to the game will be needed only to purchase special emotes, although it's unclear if that will be the extent of it moving forward.

According to Kotaku, the addition of microtransactions is part of Bungie's overall DLC plan for the game moving forward as they intend to provide fans with more free missions and content in the near future.

The revamped downloadable content (DLC) plan for "Destiny" is expected to carry all the way through to the fall of next year.
