Although it is expected that Bungie will be revealing some major details on their next update via a Twitch stream on June 9, speculations suggest that key information has already been leaked ahead of the event. Reportedly, the upcoming major DLC will be dubbed "Rise of Iron."

According to Express UK, a recent marketing leak has already named the upcoming expansion for Bungie's sci-fi, first-person shooter "Destiny." Allegedly, the new content will be called "Rise of Iron." Although Bungie has yet to confirm it, the company has supposedly already applied for the name's trademark.

Meanwhile, the studio promised fans that players will have something to look forward to when the livestream starts on the official Twitch channel on June 9 at 6 p.m. BST.

In addition to Bungie trademarking the tag, the leak on what is apparently a "Destiny" poster has been circulating online, Forbes confirms. However, the industry follower believes that while Bungie may indeed be revealing the new DLC this week, the "Rise of Iron" DLC will not go live any time soon. Rather, Bungie will be releasing the content update by fall, and the early reveal is only to take advantage of gaming news prior to the upcoming E3 2016, which is a major event for the gaming industry.

The E3 is slated for June 14 to 16.

It is also believed that since Bungie will be showcasing the "Rise of Iron" DLC at its own press event, the content update will not figure much at the E3. However, Bungie may also be planning a major announcement at the trade event – the official reveal for the much-awaited "Destiny 2" sequel. While the studio has yet to come out with an E3 lineup, a major announcement is already expected about the upcoming game, since the trade show is a major industry event, and "Destiny 2" is supposed to come out before next year's E3.
