Patch 2.4 for "Diablo 3" will finally be making its way to the game this week, though the exact day of its arrival remains uncertain.

According to the Express UK, there's a chance that the new "Diablo 3" patch could be launched on Jan. 12, though Blizzard has yet to confirm any specific date.

Despite opting not to attach any exact date to the launch of patch 2.4 thus far, Blizzard has revealed that they will be releasing the new content ahead of Season 5's start.

Blizzard has already announced that Season 5 of "Diablo 3" will be starting on Jan. 15, so there is a chance that Tuesday could be the day that patch 2.4 is launched.

Blizzard has also previously stuck to launching new patches on Tuesdays, according to "Diablo 3" community manager Brandy Camel, lending more legitimacy to the notion that the additional content could be added on the 12th.

As for why Blizzard has not announced any firm launch date for the new patch, Camel revealed that the company is holding off on doing so because there's always a chance that some technical difficulties may require them to push back its release.

It would seem that if all goes according to plan, patch 2.4 for "Diablo 3" will indeed arrive on Jan. 12.

Arguably the biggest addition of patch 2.4 is the new area known as Greyhollow Island. According to Battle Net, Greyhollow Island will be introducing new hordes of enemies players will have to deal with as well as additional items that they can add to their collections.

Also being added to "Diablo 3" via patch 2.4 are two new expanded zones.

The first expanded zone, known as the Eternal Woods, can be reached by players by first venturing through The Ruins of Sescheron.

The other expanded zone, known as the Royal Quarters, will be accessible via Leoric's Manor.

Patch 2.4 will also be adding new set dungeons, tweaks to set items and a variety of other features to "Diablo 3" upon its arrival.
