Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition release date to PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 set for August 19

Following the release of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition to PC and Mac back in March, the new version will be releasing more widely to consoles this August.

The PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 to be precise will all be to buy the game and expansion pack on August 19.

It's the first time console gamers are able to get their hands on Reaper of Souls and all the updates that have come out so far for Diablo III.

It's gone down well so far with gamers so pre-orders will no doubt be strong on the console versions.

According to GameSpot, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition will be retailing for the PS4 and Xbox One at $59.99, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be getting it slightly cheaper for $39.99.

So what can console owners expect?  Well, for one thing, they'll be able to enjoy 4-player same-screen and online multiplayer, according to Coming Soon.

Other additions making it easier to play together include a new "Apprentice" mode boosting the power of low-level players alongside high-level friends, and treasure sharing capabilities with friends via an in-game mail system.  The level cap will also be raised to 70, giving players more power.

Reaper of Souls introduces a new heavily armored good guy, Crusader, to the existing team of five - Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor and Wizard.

There will also be plenty of minion-slaying in a new act that ends with an epic struggle against Malthael, the Angel of Death, while the Adventure Mode strips away much of the story-telling mode and unlocks the waypoints.

Copies of the game pre-ordered or bought on the launch day will come with a health-boosting Infernal Pauldrons in-game item for level 1.
