The official release date of "Dishonored 2" is still unheard of at the moment, but rumors are beginning to arise regarding Bethesda Softworks' plans to soon unveil the second installment in hit action-adventure video game franchise.

Master Herald reported recently that the game publisher of the widely received single-player stealth game is planning to announce the release date of "Dishonored 2" during the scheduled Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 that will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 16 to 18.

Players who are waiting for the highly-anticipated follow up to "Dishonored" are expecting to see it in the next-generation game console formats, since its first edition was released in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This time, the sequel is anticipated to be released in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions.

Also, reports claim that the new "Dishonored" game will have the same gameplay as the first one, including the role-playing elements like the capacity to level up the powers of the character as well as to come up with moral decisions that lead to non-linear consequences.

The original "Dishonored" is one of the most popular game releases in 2012, and it even received the Best Action-Adventure Game from the 2012 Spike Video Game Award as well as the Best Game award from BAFTA in 2013.

But before "Dishonored 2" is released, new players can experience the original version for free for the month of April under the PlayStation Plus subscription program. The title is the very first game that was revealed for the April 2015 lineup of PlayStation Plus free games, since PlayStation EU leaked the information in their official Twitter site back in March.

That is why those who are waiting to hear more news about the "Dishonored" series should wait for a little while longer until Bethesda and game developer Arkane Studios make the official announcement on its release.
