The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) will be transported to circa 1651 in England to battle a deadly foe in the upcoming episode of the BBC series "Doctor Who."

In "The Woman Who Lived," ComicbookMovie reports that the good doctor will come face to face with the Highwayman and his subordinate in London, where they prowl the dark streets to find loot that is out of this world. While it remains a mystery who "The Nightmare" is in league with, the Doctor needs to be careful of this new villain. Will he once again manage to save Earth from the evil that abound it?

Last episode, Clara (Jenna Coleman) and the Doctor got nabbed by the Vikings and taken into a town where a young girl named Ashildr (Maisie Williams) lived with her people. To escape certain death, Comicbook reports that the Doctor tried to convince his jailers that he was actually Odin (David Schofield). Just then, the true Odin appeared with his soldiers, called the Mire, and picked the villagers who would be sent to Valhalla.

Clara, Ashildr, and some Vikings got chosen for the harvest. Most of them perished due to a power that surged through the chamber they were in. The women were the only ones who managed to escape alive. Odin said it was because of the sonic sunglasses they have in their possession. Ashildr then told Odin that if he wanted war, they would give it to him.

The pair returned to deliver the news of the brewing conflict. The Doctor tried to convince the villagers to flee, but they refused. Knowing how the Mire would make mincemeat of the townspeople, he decided to get as far as possible from the chaos. Clara convinced him to stay, however, and at the end, he agreed to train them for battle. He also thought of a plan to fool the bigger force.

When the Mire arrived for battle, they saw the town in the midst of a festivity. The Doctor said they were unarmed. When the soldiers dropped their guards, they shocked the Mire using improvised electronics and pulled their helmets off. Ashildr then puts on a helmet and called up a giant snake, making the opponent scatter. When she revealed the creature to be a puppet, the Doctor threatened Odin that he would show a footage of his embarrassing loss throughout the galaxy if they did not retreat.

Having succeeded in their mission, Ashildr's father went to congratulate her. But when he pulled the helmet off, he discovered that she was dead. The Doctor then decided to resurrect her by reprogramming the Mire tech they stole. She has returned from the dead, but she would now live her life as a hybrid.

"Doctor Who" episode 6 will air on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. EST on BBC.
