President of the United States Donald Trump continues to criticize the National Football League (NFL) for possibly making changes to the anthem policy. Trump directed his latest tirade against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

According to reports, some NFL owners are considering to make policy changes for players whenever the U.S. National Anthem is played. The report indicates that the players will stay in their respective locker rooms while "The Star-Spangled Banner" is being played. This change is said to put a stop to the U.S. national anthem protests carried out by NFL players.

The President then tweeted that the idea will not solve the problem. Trump wrote, "The NFL is now thinking about a new idea – keeping teams in the Locker Room during the National Anthem next season. That's almost as bad as kneeling! When will the highly paid Commissioner (Roger Goodell) finally get tough and smart?" He also mentioned that the issue is bad for the league's promotion.

Goodell has not commented on Trump's latest statement against him and the NFL.

The most recent protest was carried out by Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch. Trump also attacked Lynch through Twitter by urging the NFL to suspend the latter. "Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season."

The protest started in 2016 when NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick knelt during the anthem, and since then, several players from other teams have followed suit. The protest is against racial inequality and police brutality.

The NFL is not the only sports league that Trump has criticized recently. The POTUS also called out LaVar Ball, father of Los Angeles Lakers star Lonzo, for being an "Ungrateful tool." Ball's other son, LiAngelo, was involved in a shoplifting incident in China. The University of California, Los Angeles cager's case was resolved and he was able to come home. According to President Trump, he helped LiAngelo get back to the U.S., but Lavar denies the president's involvement.
