"Dota 2" is getting quite a few new additions just before the end of the year.

The new update, known as "The Balance of Power," is adding plenty of items, but none among them may be more significant than the hero named Arc Warden.

Arc Warden has a collection of skills that enables it to aid teammates and make them formidable during the course of battle, while also dealing significant handicaps to opponents, according to the "Dota 2" website. One of Arc Warden's skills also enables it to duplicate itself, thus making it more difficult for the opposing team to emerge victorious in battle.

Also being introduced in the new update are four new items.

The first of the four, the Aether Lens, will aid players by boosting their magic resistance while simultaneously upping their spell range.

The Dragon Lance also promises to be a useful addition to the game as it will add even more range to the attacking capabilities of heroes that already deal damage from a distance.

"Dota 2" players can also increase their damage in the game by having the new Faerie Fire item on hand, and it can also be utilized to restore health once it is consumed.

Players can also use the Iron Talon in battle to receive its armor and Quelling Blade boosts.

Neutral camp locations will also be changed with the arrival of the new "Dota 2" update, and the tweak is expected to impact how jungling is carried out inside the game. "Dota 2" will also be welcoming a new rune, known as the Arcane rune. The Arcane rune will provide a 30 percent reduction in spell cooldown while also cutting down on the cost of casting spells by half, SB Nation reported.

Numerous heroes have also been tweaked courtesy of the new "Dota 2" update and players can find out all about these changes the next time they play the game.
