"Dragon Ball Super" has completed several filler episodes and is now moving on to the next main story arc in the series. As showcased in the official trailer for episode 47, Future Trunks will be coming back to ask for help but this time he will be followed by an evil version of Goku, referred to as Black Goku.

This Black Goku appears to be an exact copy of Goku but has a different color scheme and is also wearing something similar to a Potara earring, hinting at possible Fusion capabilities.

It is speculated that this Goku might not even be from the same world but could be from Universe 6, which was destroyed in the distant past. Fans speculate that Goku in Universe 6 did not suffer from amnesia and fulfilled his Saiyan duty of conquering and eventually destroying the planet.

During the Universe 6 and 7 tournament, Beerus wished Universe 6's Earth back into existence and this may have lead to Black Goku causing trouble for both Universe 6 and Universe 7 in the future.

According to a report from Enstarz, it is even possible that Black Goku is the Goku fans have followed throughout the series' history. The report explains that Goku died in Future Trunks' timeline and may have been resurrected after the defeat of Cell and the androids. However, this Goku may have turned evil, causing Trunks to go back to the past.

Fans speculate that this FutureTrunks may not even be the same Future Trunks that arrived during the Cell Saga. This may be a Trunks from a different future timeline given that this Trunks appears younger than the former Future Trunks and is also shown getting into a potential romantic relationship with an adult Mai.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 will officially begin the "Future Trunks" story arc and is set to air this June 12.
