The newest anime adaptation of Akira Toriyama's highly popular "Dragon Ball" franchise continues with its cliffhanger episodes. The current arc for "Dragon Ball Super" is seeing Goku try to protect Earth and the rest of the Z warriors from the resurrected Frieza –- a crossover plot from the latest film offering of the franchise, "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F."

Much like what happened in the movie, the latest episode saw Goku and Frieza try to outdo each other in battle, Goku having awakened his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan powers, and Frieza showing the fruits of his training with his golden form. Continuing from the past episode, the upcoming Episode 26 might see the two's final clash, and the climax of their battle.

According to Korea Portal, the upcoming episode 26 is titled, "A Chance of Victory in a Critical Situation! It Is Time for a Counterattack, Son Goku." The title itself seems hint that the clash is nearing its conclusion, with Goku already preparing his counterattack. The industry follower added that the upcoming show may see Goku using his full power for a conclusive attack, a Kamehame Wave.

If this will be the case, then the counterattack is a badly needed one, noted Attack of the Fanboy. In the website's recap of the events in Episode 25, the current chapter saw Goku being shut out of every turn by Golden Frieza, getting the upperhand even as the episode ended. The final scene also hints at the transition, with Goku trying to keep it together for a final barrage of attacks.

Meanwhile, Episode 25 also had fans see Champa and Vados, encountering Beerus and Whis as the duo travels toward Earth. While the chance encounter did not get much airtime, this might be a hint that the anime adaptation will dovetail with the events in "Dragon Ball Super" manga, where the two gods will try to assert control over each other's universe through the Super Dragon Balls.
