The "Dragon Ball" video game universe just got bigger. While fans of the popular anime franchise are awaiting the release of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" next year, players are currently talking about another video game, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," which will be adding some new characters.

The game has been released for some time now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It was released for the Nintendo Switch last month, allowing players on the go to delve into the fighting game.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be injected with new blood with the addition of a Gohan-absorbed Buu and the powerful Dabura. These characters first reported to be coming to the game last month but now, Bandai Namco, the developer of the game, also dropped a trailer that features the two new additional characters in action for the first time.

The downloadable content (DLC) does not have a specific launch date as of yet, but Bandai Namco noted that it will a free update. Aside from featuring the two characters, other additions would be coming later this year. Many have suggested that this new update will be released across gaming consoles so all players will be on the same page.

Aside from the upcoming DLC and additional updates, it looks like "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will not be getting any other content. This is probably because Bandai Namco will turn its attention on their next game, "Dragon Ball FighterZ," and provide it with all the support it needs to be the game developer's next big hit.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" has sold a total of 1.4 million copies worldwide. The PlayStation 4 version has sold over 87,000 copies in Japan while the Nintendo Switch version bagged the third spot on the Japanese sales chart with almost 25,000 copies shipped.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Nintendo Switch and PC.
