In what was initially as a pre-order bonus has now become free. Techland made the announcement that the Dying Light's "Be a Zombie" mode will now be free for all users who play the game using the Xbox One and the Playstation 4.

In the said mode, players who choose to play as a zombie will stalk others as a night hunter. Night Hunter is a zombie mutation that arms players with special skills. That includes skills such as super speed, a grapple tool and special attacks.

Players will have a special skill tree, something that players can advance through as they complete the rounds playing as a zombie creature.

The digital version of Dying Light is set to be release in North and South America by January 27. The physical copies on the other hand will be made available about 30 days later or on February 27.

And while North and South America will start enjoying the game, gamers located in other regions may have to wait a bit longer. Regions such as Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia may have to wait a bit longer since release for these parts have been delayed for the time being.

Here is a statement from Techland regarding this matter through their Facebook page:

There will be a short delay in the release of physical copies of Dying Light in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia. The game will have a global digital release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC of January 27, 2015. As physical production has a longer lead time than digital there is some delay in the aforementioned territories. We will share information on the availability of physical copies as soon as it is confirmed.

Customers who plan to pre-order the physical copy will get a little bonus. Aside from the game, they will also get the Cuisine & Cargo and Ultimate Survivor bundle packs with no extra charge. Pre-orders can be registered here.
