Fans of "Dynasty Warriors 9" will be excited to know that a new trailer for the upcoming game has been released, and it features the fierce playable officers in-game.

Developer Omega Force and publisher Koei Tecmo have recently released a new gameplay trailer showing off the moves of the available officers in "Dynasty Warriors 9." These officers are the highlight of the game and can be controlled to fight hordes of enemies, which the franchise is known for. A total of five officers for the Wei faction, both new and old, have been revealed to be available in "Dynasty Warriors 9."

Some of the characters are even derived from the real political and military figureheads of the Three Kingdoms era of Chinese history such as, Cao Pi, who is Cao Cao's son in-game and is set to be his successor in the event of his passing. Cao Pi has also been featured in the previous "Dynasty Warriors" games and uses his conjoined dual swords which can be separated.

Another character is Zhenji, who is currently Cao Pi's wife but was originally married to Yuan Xi, Yuan Shao's second son, until the defeat of the Yuan family in the battle of Guandu. Zhenji uses her whiplike weapon in order to crowd control numerous foes and keep the pressure on them.

Sima Yi is another character available in the game that has had a violent history of coup d'etat during the Three Kingdoms era of China. Yi is held responsible in the game for the formation of the Jin Dynasty, one of the grandest dynasties of Chinese history. Yi uses his fan blades in order to deal damage to opponents all around him.

The rest of the officers include Lu Su the second chief commander of Wu who succeeded Zhou Yu, who will be using a rake as his weapon and will have no trouble keeping enemies at bay due to its range. Finally,  Lu Lingqi, instead of getting married to Lu Bu, took up her Sword & Shield to fight the enemies of the Wei, replacing her Cross Pike from the earlier games.

More officers will be available and revealed once "Dynasty Warriors 9" gets released on Feb. 8, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows.
