Fans of the British singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran, may be saddened by the news that he has cancelled some of his scheduled upcoming shows due to a cycling injury. As a guitar being Sheeran's main instrument, he just will not be able to play it while his arm is covered in a protective cast.

In a report by The Sun, Sheeran experienced an accident while he was riding his bicycle in London. Sheeran was hit by a car, which led to a cast around his right arm. After visiting the doctors, Sheeran posted a picture of his arm on Instagram, and informed his fans to "stay tuned" regarding the medical advice given by his doctors.

News.Au has confirmed that not only did Sheeran suffer fractures on his right arm, but has also fractured his left elbow as well. It is estimated that Sheeran will have achieved significant recovery by March, 2018.

According to People, Sheeran also confirmed on social media that he had suffered from two broken bones. This means that it might take the singer and songwriter a significant amount of time to recover, which not only affects tours that he was scheduled to do in Asia, but will also set his projects back for quite a bit. Fans are hoping that the damage is not too severe so that he can resume working on topping the music charts once again.

Sheeran was scheduled to visit the countries of Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong. He has assured that he is still assessing the current damage of his arm before he makes any decisions on when he can resume his tour. According to Inquisitr, the tour was supposed to begin on Oct. 22, which is a two-week break after Sheeran's Nashville, Tennessee appearance.

Sheeran has other tours in Europe and America scheduled in 2018, and it looks like those may be pushed back as well.
