The chaos inside Lucious Lyon's (Terrence Howard) Empire Entertainment continues in the second episode of "Empire" season 2.

After failing to snatch Empire from Jamal's (Jussie Smollett) leadership, his mother Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and brothers Andre (Trai Byers) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) decided to leave the company and start a new record label of their own.

But will Cookie's new plans to open her new recording company with Andre, Hakeem, and Lucious' scheming ex-girlfriend Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) succeed?

According to the official synopsis for the episode, titled "Without a Country," set to air this week, "Cookie and her cohorts decide to start their own small record label, but it's off to a bumpy start as everyone has different visions for the new label. As his first project for the new company, Hakeem decides to form a girl group and woos a hot Latina lead singer (guest star Becky G), proving that he can be more than just an artist. Meanwhile, Lucious, feeling extra pressure from a bloodthirsty prosecutor, hires a new lawyer (guest star Andre Royo) and records an epic track from inside jail. In Lucious' absence, Jamal neglects his music and makes business moves that further his journey toward becoming every bit as ruthless as his father."

Meanwhile, the promo trailer for the upcoming episode shows Hakeem's attempt to free himself from his contract with Empire Entertainment, but Jamal and the board will not let him go without a fight. This might be the reason why the youngest Lyon decides to leak his own album to the public.

Also, the trailer hints that Lucious will be finally freed from prison in the next episode of "Empire" season 2. Based on the trailer, Lucious and Jamal will talk about how to keep their company afloat despite the threats from their own family,

The episode will also feature several guest stars such as rapper Ludacris as Prison Officer McKnight, Andre Royo as Lucious' new lawyer Thirsty Rawlings, Becky G as Hakeem's new love interest Valentina, Veronika Bozeman as V, Rafael De La Fuente as Michael Sanchez, and Tyra Ferrell as Roxanne Ford. Kelly Rowland will also appear in several flashback sequences as Lucious' mother Leah Walker.

"Empire" season 2 episode 2 airs Wednesday, Sept. 30, on FOX. The episode can also be seen on FOX Now and Hulu Plus online.
