Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will prove that they will always have each other's back in the upcoming episode of the hit FOX series "Empire."

In "Et Tu, Brute?" CarterMatt reports that as Lucious continues to expand his reach in the music industry, someone from his own company will pull him back. A motion to remove him as the CEO has been put on the table by Mimi (Marisa Tomei). In the promo, she is seen running a meeting at Empire, where she arranges a vote to strip Lucious of his position. The backstabbing comes after he makes a reckless play for Swiftstream, the music-streaming service he has been wanting to acquire.

Lucious feels that securing the service will make him the most dominant figure in the world of music. It turns out that his attempt to feed his ego will come back to haunt him. In the clip, he can be seen in shock, as he tries to comprehend why his once trusted friends are conspiring to take him down. Support will come from someone he least expects to take pity on him, his estranged wife Cookie.

In the promo, she is telling Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) that even though Lyon Dynasty is their company, Empire is family. As such, they cannot let others steal it from them. Anyone who dares will be treated as the enemy. Cookie is then seen finding Luscious while he is wallowing in self-pity. She tell him that no matter what, they will take back Empire. Lucious holds Cookie's hands, while tears are about to fall from his eyes.

Aside from the family drama, the Lyons brothers are set to have their world turned upside down. An old lover will return for Hakeem in the fall finale. Camilla (Naomi Campbell) is back and she wants Hakeem. How will her arrival affect his relationship with Laura (Jamila Velazquez)? Not to mention, an obsessed Anika (Grace Gealey) is pregnant with his child, but he still does not know it yet.

As for Jamal (Jussie Smollett), the final moments of episode 9 saw him kissing Skye (Alicia Keys). While Jamal is admittedly gay, the kiss does look serious. Are we going to see him make a drastic change because of the new artist?

"Empire" season 2 fall finale will air on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
