As "Empire" season 3 slowly comes to an end, things are starting to heat up between Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). The two-part finale, which is titled "Toil and Trouble Part 1 and 2," will focus on Cookie going out of her way to cause a scene because of something Lucious has done.

The synopsis for season 3 episode 17 says that Cookie will be seeking her revenge as she finds out that Giuliana (Nia Long) banned her from Lucious' club, Leviticus Vegas. Giuliana could not have banned her without Lucious' permission, so Cookie would not be only getting her revenge on Giuliana, but she will also get into an argument with Lucious.

Another story the episode will be focusing on is Jamal's (Jussie Smollett) album, which will be put on hold. This will be done in order to give way to Lucious' album, "Inferno." The disappointment Jamal will feel after putting all his effort into his album only to give way for his father's will be strong, especially since their relationship has just started to get better.

FOX has also released the synopsis for the second part of the finale, which will involve another Lucious and Cookie fiasco. Lucious will be launching his new club, EMPIRE Las Vegas, which will give a place for Cookie to cause a scene. If Cookie were to succeed with ruining the opening of EMPIRE Las Vegas, Lucious would definitely fight back and get his revenge.

The synopsis also warns viewers about the last five minutes of part two of the season finale. This gives viewers a hint that the finale will have a major cliffhanger, which will make them anticipate the release of "Empire" season 4.

"Empire" season 3, episode 17 and 18 are scheduled to air on Wednesday, May 17, and Wednesday, May 24, respectively, at 9 p.m. EDT on the FOX channel.
