"Enter the Gungeon" has just been ported over to the Nintendo Switch, and it seems most users are satisfied with the version so far.

Developer Dodge Roll and publisher Devolver Digital have now officially released "Enter the Gungeon" to the Switch, and they will be pleased to hear that their game is doing well. The user score of the game on Metacritic at the time of writing stands at 8.5, though it is currently based on just eight ratings and might increase or decrease momentarily once more user reviews are out. Meanwhile, the critics' score has not been published yet since the Switch version has not been reviewed yet by major game critic sites.

Starting now, "Enter the Gungeon" can be downloaded from the Nintendo Switch eShop, it was available earlier on the US but has only been released on Monday in the UK and Europe. The game's release on the Switch was also accompanied by an official release trailer uploaded to YouTube by the developers.

The trailer shows the selling point of "Enter the Gungeon," which is essentially what is called a "bullet hell" shooter where the players must juggle both shooting and dodging the enemy projectiles. This is easier said than done in "Enter the Gungeon" as oftentimes, there are several enemies shooting dozens of projectiles at the player with varying speeds and positioning. Coupled with the top-down view and limited movement controls, the game can become rather challenging.

"Enter the Gungeon" was first released on the PC and home consoles last year and was well-received despite its 16-bit art style and notorious bullet hell difficulty. The game currently holds a very positive rating on Steam, where 92 percent of all the user reviews on the PC platform is positive. Likewise, the critic review of the game also praises the game for its ingenuity and excellence as one of the best roguelike titles in gaming. As such, the critic metascore of "Enter the Gungeon" on Switch is also expected to follow suit.
