Rosberg has beaten Hamilton to the pole for the fourth straight race, but in the past three Rosberg has failed to turn that pole into a win, with Hamilton stealing the wins.

Rosberg will be desperate to claim the win today, although he now knows that the title is gone with Hamilton's win last week in the United States Grand Prix confirming him as champion.

Hamilton's title win this year was his third championship, and drew him level with his idol Ayrton Senna.

For this week's race there was once again some tension between the Mercedes teammates as Hamilton seemed unhappy at Rosberg's tactics. However, come race time they both have said they will be focused on racing without any extra emotions creeping into their strategies.

Rosberg has said, "It's no different. It's going to be a battle and what's in the past is in the past and we move forward."

Meanwhile, Hamilton simply responded: "The same as he's just said."

The media has been highlighting the tension between the pair, which arose again last week when they touched tires as Hamilton passed Rosberg at the start of the race.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel poked a joke at the pair during the news conference. Vettel who is third on the grid this week, turned to Hamilton and said, "If you have a go, can you make sure you take both of you out so I can go through? Yes? No?"
