The complicated relationship between Amy (Rita Volk) and Karma (Katie Stevens) has returned with the all-new season of "Faking It" on MTV.

In the premiere episode, Amy returned after spending her summer break with Reagan's (Yvette Monreal) friends while leaving the heartbroken Karma behind. This was supposed to be her way to get over her romantic feelings for her best friend.

Upon her return, Amy planned to face Karma to explain why she left without apologizing for breaking her heart. Yet it seemed like Karma had already moved on with her life and found new friends during the time they spent apart. She even admitted to Amy that she is now dating a guy named Dylan (Jordan Rodrigues).

In the second episode for season 2, the estrange best friends appear to be contemplating patching things up. But none of them will try to approach the other first.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Let's Hear It for the Oy" reads:

"Amy and Karma are both ready to make amends, but neither wants to be the first one to extend the olive branch; Zita (Chloe Bridges) shows her support for Liam (Gregg Sulkin)."

Aside from Karma, Carter Covington revealed that all characters will find themselves in new relationships in season 3.

"Everyone will have a new love interest, and we have some great new actors joining the show to mix things up. We've got girl/girl kisses, boy/boy kisses, and girl/boy kisses so everyone is happy!" Covington wrote in a special article in Entertainment Weekly.

He also mentioned that the season will follow up on the intersex journey of Amy's stepsister Lauren (Bailey De Young), and they will include a transgender character in the upcoming episodes.

"Faking It" season 3 episode 2 airs Tuesday, March 22, on MTV.
