'Fallout 4' tips: How to increase carrying capacity

"Fallout 4's" Commonwealth is a treasure trove of interesting artifacts that can either end up being used as equipment or utilized to help create and maintain in-game settlements.

The good news is that there are a lot of these items just laying around waiting for players to claim them. The bad news is that the Sole Survivor can only lug so much of that stuff around before it becomes too much to carry.

There's a carry weight limit that exists for "Fallout 4" players and it's one of the biggest hindrances to those who want to just roam everywhere picking up whatever it may be that catches their eye.

Fortunately, players can do some things to help increase their carry weight inside the game and subsequently enable their characters to take home more of their discoveries.

The first thing players can do is to increase their Strength attribute inside "Fallout 4." Strength is directly related to the player's carry weight limit, so pouring in points to this attribute is a potential option, according to Game Rant.

Another benefit of pouring points into Strength is that it also opens up access to the Strong Back perk. Putting points into the Strong Back perk will again increase the player's carry weight limit.

One more way to increase Strength inside "Fallout 4" is to use either Buffout or some kind of alcohol in the game, according to Polygon. Using either substance will provide a temporary Strength boost, although players should know that using too much of them can lead to an addiction.

Special armor mods also enable players to increase their carry limits inside "Fallout 4."

Armor mods such as Pocketed and Deep-pocketed increase carrying weight limits as well and they can usually be applied to numerous kinds of equipment inside the game.

In a pinch, "Fallout 4" players can also ask their companions to carry around some of their items and simply retrieve them later on.
