A newly released trailer for "Far Cry Primal" is giving fans the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the game's Legend of the Mammoth downloadable content (DLC).

The minute-long trailer posted by Ubisoft on YouTube starts off with the player having a conversation with a mysterious shaman. The shaman then hands the player a crudely made cup that contains a red liquid. After drinking the liquid, players will then find themselves in control of a mammoth.

As a mammoth, players will now be able to take on three extra missions.

The first mission shown in the trailer, known as the Duel of Beasts, features the player engaging a rhino in combat.

Next up, players can also take on the mission known as The Trapped Elder. In this mission, players will have to head to a human settlement where another mammoth is being held captive.

The last mission included in the Legend of the Mammoth DLC is known as Hunt the Hunters. In this mission, players will attempt to take down a group of hunters.

Players interested in getting the Legend of Mammoth DLC will have to pre-order "Far Cry Primal" in order to do so.

Aside from the mammoth, there will also be other animals that will be prominently featured in the soon-to-be released game. According to the official Ubisoft blog, animals can be both allies and adversaries, and there will even be a kind of natural order established in the game that determines how the different creatures will interact with each other.

Examples of other animals included in the game are saber-tooth tigers, jaguars, and dholes.

Players can find out more about the animals inside "Far Cry Primal" when the game is launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Feb. 23 and when it is released for personal computer (PC) on March 1.
