For soccer fans who are also avid video game players, the battle for their team's supremacy is not just in the soccer pitch but also in their pick of the best soccer video game title. Two names have been clashing in this arena – "FIFA" and "PES."

Long before "PES" entered the scene, the "FIFA" franchise from EA Sports had been dominating the market, already close to 20 years with the upcoming "FIFA 16" title. However, as seen on every long-running series, fans have been clamoring for some new content, since apparently the game now feels predictable and stagnant.

When "Pro Evolution Soccer" entered the arena, fans who have been clamoring for change tried the title. Adding that EA declined during the PS2 period, the "PES" series of titles went on to corner the soccer videogame market. Up until now, fans still consider "PES 4" and "PES 5" as some of the best soccer games ever released.

Meanwhile, "FIFA" hopes to recapture its glory days by adding more features and new content to the upcoming "FIFA 16" title. One of the most-anticipated and widely-recognized change that the upcoming game will bring to the videogame screen is the inclusion of the Women's World Cup – meaning that those who are fans of the different Women's Clubs now have the chance to try their teams in the in-game field.

Konami, in turn, promises enthusiasts that the upcoming "PES 2016" will have more improvements not just in gameplay but in features. The title has signed more club licenses like the Europa League and the Champions League, as well as the new Euro 2016 competition. The additional leagues are separate from the usual Premiere League and Bundesliga teams.

Konami's "PES 2016" will come out on Sept. 15, while "FIFA 16" is slated to appear on game shelves on Sept. 22.
