'Five Nights at Freddy's' movie release date news, rumors: still no official word on movie release
"Five Nights at Freddy's" is a hit horror game enjoyed by gamers from all parts of the globe, and news about its upcoming movie adaptation has created a hype among the game's fans. Unfortunately, up until now, there is still no news on the game's movie adaptation release.
Warner Brothers has bought the rights to adapt the popular video game series into a movie since the hit horror game created by Scott Cawthon has received a lot of positive feedback from its players, making it seem viable for a movie adaptation.
"The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to," said Cawthon. The movie adaptation will be produced by Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and KatzSmith Productions' Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.
The movie will feature the game's main storyline where an animatronic animal band performs kiddy songs in a pizza parlor called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza by day and goes on horrific murder rampages by night.
"We're looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie," said Grahame-Smith.
Despite the hype building up around the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie release, the movie's production staff has kept information about the movie tightly under wraps. Because of the lack of information on the movie's release date, rumors have been spreading that the production for the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie might be up being canceled.
However, the team behind the movie adaptation ensures fans that the movie is currently under development.
Since there's still no official news on the movie's official release date, it is speculated that the movie might be delayed because of the recently released "Five Night at Freddy's: Sister Location," the latest title in the hit horror game series which has included a lot of new characters.
