There are only a few more weeks until the highly anticipated spinoff title, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," is released. With the hype for the game, fans of the series are now wondering if it would be followed up by a sequel which would further explore the series' story line. The game's creator, Scott Cawthon, was then quick to respond to the rumors and mentioned that he has no plans yet for a sequel to the upcoming title.

Several games have been released in the highly popular indie horror point-and-click video game series, which is why it would be understandable if fans assumed that the upcoming game might be followed up by a sequel. A fan had asked this exact question outright on the game's steam page, and Cawthon immediately replied that he hasn't considered making a sequel to the series just yet.

The creator explained that the spin-off itself is pretty much a story-driven title and that a sequel will really depend on how the audiences will react to it. However, Cawthon did not directly shoot down the possibility of a sequel, but simply stated that he currently has no plans for it as of the moment.

The game itself is reportedly on track for its release date with several reports confirming that it is now in its final stages of testing.

Reports have also revealed that Cawthon may just be adding some final touches to the game and to its brand new layout. "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is the fifth installment in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series and will be the first title to come with subtitles.

The game is a canonical spin-off that will take place in the same universe as the original games. The game is scheduled to be released on Oct. 7 and will be available for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS.
