'Five Nights at Freddy's World' update 2 release date: Scott Cawthon drops some hints in game's banner
"Five Nights at Freddy's World" may have already been pulled from sale, but developer Scott Cawthon isn't done with it yet and is back dropping clues about the spinoff's future.
On the game's website, a rainbow with a smiling face popped up on the upper left corner of the game's official banner (see above). At the very bottom of the photo, the developer teased that the second update for "Five Nights at Freddy's World" is "coming soon."
The sudden appearance of the rainbow had fans wondering what it could mean for the game. In a Reddit thread, fans harked back to the time when Cawthon first said "rainbow comes tomorrow."
Fans associated this with a variation of this remark – "Rainbow is Tomorrow," a meme popular within the "Five Nights at Freddy" community. This led some to believe that the rainbow hints that the update will drop tomorrow, giving the phrase a literal meaning.
Unfortunately, it's been a couple of days since this was suggested, but no update for "Five Nights at Freddy's World" was released by Cawthon.
Fans have been looking for things to make sense of the phrase "Rainbow is Tomorrow." Around the time Cawthon said it, a fan found a site for Tomorrow's Rainbow, a group that caters to helping children move on from trauma.
If the rainbow on the "Five Nights at Freddy's World" banner has something to do with this, Cawthon could be hinting that the next update for the game will see players save a traumatized child. This ties together with the game's Clock Ending.
Meanwhile, the developer has been adding elements on the banner. Apart from the rainbow, fans will also notice airplanes with Adventure Foxy, Adventure Chica and JJ on the upper right corner, hovering around the title.
"Five Nights at Freddy's World" update 2 is expected to bring new characters, new storylines and extended plots. If the theories are right, it might be here anytime soon.
