'The Flash' season 2 spoilers: What's in store for Firestorm?

Fans were filled with questions, a lot of them, when the pilot season of "The Flash" came to a close. The talk of multiverses and time-bending storylines raise more questions than answers, which makes things even more impossible to contain and understand.

What's also pretty unclear is Ronnie and Caitlin's future in "The Flash" season 2. There are reports pitting Caitlin (or at least her evil alter ego) against the Scarlet Speedster, and there are others talking about the possibility of Barry taking on Firestorm, too.

In the finale, the couple pushed through with their plans of being one and they got married as their closest friends bore witness to their love. One can't help but wonder if these two will also be one in their aspirations, especially now that Caitlin's Killer Frost alter ego has already been implied.

Meanwhile, actor Victor Garber revealed that Firestorm will appear in the first episode of "The Flash" season 2 although he never really elaborated on what the hot-headed hero will actually be doing in the scene.

"Robbie [Amell] and I will be joined on the first episode of the season of The Flash, and then we'll see what happens," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

As fans already know, Garber's character Dr. Martin Stein will be part of the motley crew in "Legends of Tomorrow." However, it seems that Firestorm's other half Ronnie, played by Amell, won't be. If Firestorm will be in the new show, fans are speculating that another actor is likely to play the other half or there will be a specific storyline that will not require Ronnie's inclusion.

However, Garber, while talking to DC All Access, revealed that Amell will indeed be in the spinoff. There remains the mystery of why he still isn't being confirmed as a cast member in "Legends of Tomorrow."

That said, it looks like Ronnie will be busy with "The Flash" season 2, assuming his wife will take on her evil identity sometime in the new season. Besides, with Captain Cold and Heatwave moving on with not-so evil ventures, a new fire and ice team-up is much needed.

"The Flash" season 2 will premiere in fall.
