Floyd Mayweather next fight rumors: Mayweather teases possible fight with Danny Garcia [VIDEO]

Floyd Mayweather Jr. may be officially retired, but everyone knows that at any time, the undefeated American boxer can opt to return if he wants to.

He has done it before. Back in 2007, he announced his retirement after defeating Ricky Hatton. His reason for hanging it up at the time was not different from the reason he is giving out today, which is to focus on his promotional company.

After defeating Andre Berto last September via unanimous decision, Mayweather seems to be fine with his current hiatus, although not many are convinced he has totally turned his back on boxing.

Many believe that he will fight at least one more time to break the 49–0 stalemate he currently holds alongside Rocky Marciano, although that remains to be seen.

Whatever happens from here on could dictate that. Each comment that he makes about boxing will always be tied up with an impending return.

The latest one is a clear example. Mayweather teased the idea of getting back in the ring against Danny Garcia, although it was meant to pull down all the hype surrounding the upcoming Canelo Alvarez vs. Amir Khan tiff set for May 7.

More to that, everyone knows the bumpy relationship that Mayweather has with Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya. He always tries to find a way to spite the other, and this one is no exception.

As mentioned earlier, a slight indication of a boxing return will fire up the rumor mills. On cue, such did happen.

The bad news is that Mayweather cleared the air when he was acting as a guest commentator on a Fox Sports 1 event in Las Vegas.

Mayweather once again reiterated the he is happy with his life now and has no itch to return to boxing for now.

His 2007 retirement needed two years for him to change his mind. Since he retired in 2015, could Mayweather's mood change in 2017?
