The developers of the hack-and-slash game "For Honor" have been working tirelessly to introduce the game to the market. After the initial tests, it seems the players will be doing it for them.

Ubisoft is on a roll as they announce that they have been receiving positive feedback as result of the closed alpha. CEO Yves Guillemot said during the company's quarterly financial conference call: "'For Honor' continues to excite players across the globe. After the global success of its closed alpha, the biggest in Ubisoft history, 'For Honor' just concluded two more successful live testings in Russia and Japan," Segment Next has learned.

Guillemot also added that word may have spread about the rave reviews for the close alpha, thus interested players are storming the Ubisoft beta registrations to experience the game first hand before the international release. This is good news as this creates good publicity for the product.

It is understandable that most gamers find the multiplayer appealing, as a lot of games cater to that need based on player preferences. It is important to note, though, that "For Honor's" single-player mode has a lot in store.

Creative director Jason Vandenberghe told GameSpot in an interview: "It's a full story campaign, a cinematic adventure where you will play as the knights first as the Warden, then you play as the Raider, then you play as the Orochi... You'll play all through three different regions; the knights' homeland, the viking homeland, and the samurai homeland. You'll go on this great adventure..."

"For Honor" talks about an era where war is widespread amidst the picturesque landscape. Human conflict brought everyone on the brink of desolation until finally, three factions tried to coexist harmoniously, namely the Knights, Vikings, and Samurais. It would seem that the time of peace won't be long-lasting, as the warlord named Apollyon aims to incite yet another skirmish, Game N' Guide reports.

"For Honor" will be supported on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms and is set to launch by Feb. 14, 2017. The game is also available through pre-order on its official website.
