Franklin, Winans and Mary Mary to grace Wembley Arena

|PIC1|This year’s Grammy award winners Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, and Mary Mary will be headlining the biggest gospel event to hit the stage in the UK.

Oraclez is a gospel festival and award ceremony being staged Pure Genius Entertainments and UK Base at the Wembley Arena in London on May 4.

The line-up brings some of the giants of gospel music on one stage in the UK for the first time and also includes Kelly Price, Chevelle Franklyn and home grown talent,
MOBO winner, Jahaziel.

“This has been a year in the making” said Pure Genius Entertainment’s Managing Director, Valerie McBean: “We were keen to put together an event which would unite some of the best gospel acts under one roof and are hoping people will be uplifted by the soulful music and vibe of the night."

Grammy Award winner CeCe Winans will be belting out some of her classics with all the energy of an artist who was just recently crowned Contemporary Female of the Year at this year’s Stellar Awards and who just scooped the 2009 Grammy for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album for 'Thy Kingdom Come'.

Fresh from their Grammy wins, Kirk Franklin and duo Mary Mary, will be highlights of the evening.

Kelly Price, meanwhile, has previously appeared on hit singles from Mariah Carey, Faith Evans, Whitney Houston and R Kelly, and become a star in her own right
thanks to her soulful and emotional style.

Other artists lighting up the stage on the night include Martha Munizzi, Jamaican songstress Chevelle Franklyn, Ann Nesby, formerly of the hugely successful Sounds of Blackness, and Coko formerly of R&B group SWV.

Michael Rochelle, Marketing Manager of Pure Genius Entertainment, says: “It’s definitely going to be a night to remember, whether you’re a Christian or simply someone who enjoys positive soulful music, you will be uplifted and rejuvenated."

Tickets for the Oraclez World Music Festival & Awards are priced from £35 to £65 and can be purchased from www.wembleyarena.co.uk
